andrew zuckerman is one of those fantastic people who you hope brushes off on you some day. his books: bird, wisdom, and creature (above) are my favorites. i think its hard to have your own artistic wake these days, when photography is ubiquitous and images are becoming oppressively obtuse, but zuckerman, on the other hand, makes it look easy. everything is edenic, pure–– conveyed with clarity of vision—that photographic moment that need not be manipulated. the subject transforms before the lens, not after.
